Quality

Maruti's wide popularity is only because of its quality fertilizers and dedicated staff. Utmost care is taken to get the desired quality for our satisfied customers. Maruti has its well equipped in-house laboratory at all locations which take care of the Quality Control.

Since the fertilizer production & quality are controlled by Government of India, the company is following the regulations given in Fertilizer Control Order, 1985. Quality Assurance of the finished product is verified by Government Inspector. The other regulations applied to the company are The Fertiliser (Movement Control) Order, 1973 and The Essential Commodities Act, 1955. The Standard for weight and measures Act, 1976 is followed for packing of finished material.

Every batch of fertilizers is chemically analyzed to get the required standard as per FCO norms. The fertilizers are checked at three stages of manufacturing i.e. Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection.

Stage I - Incoming

All raw materials are tested for conformance to specifications as per FCO, 1985. It is ensured whether the materials are supplied only by the approved suppliers and then only the further inspection is carried out. Apart from raw material like Urea, Di Ammonium Phosphate, Single Super Phosphate, Murate of Potash, Mono Ammonium Phosphate, Phosphate, Triple Super Phosphate etc. the other materials like consumables, packing material is also passed through the quality check

Stage II - In process

During the manufacturing process, it is checked whether the input quantity of each raw material is as per the required formulation and the same is recorded time to time. The material in process in granulation drum is tested from the output end and recorded.

Stage III - Final

The finished material i.e. NPK Granulated Mixed Fertilisers are gone through final inspection at the Inhouse laboratory as per relevant documented norms of Fertilizer Control Order (FCO). The inspection activities will include the following as applicable.

a) Check physical characteristics and chemical analysis of the product against specifications in FCO.

b) Ensure that the material is packed in the appropriate bag.

It is ensured that the recycling of material not exceeds 30% of the input.
